It’s almost mid June still there is no sign of the rains. Usually in Mumbai it starts raining from around the 10th of June. The weather people keep on extending the date of the first showers week after week. They say the rains are delayed due to the cyclone Aila. Sometimes I feel weather prediction is quite similar to fortune telling sometimes you hit and sometimes u miss..  Even though I don’t like the rains so much as I am a outdoor type of a person and don’t like to sit at home much, I look forward to the monsoons. It comes as a welcome relief after the hot summers. Also many beautiful things happen during the monsoon period. With the advent of the monsoons the Gulmohar tree starts flowering, it looks so beautiful with the orange flowers in full bloom. In of my earlier posts I had mentioned that I had not got my joining date and was worried about it, well I got my joining date last week and its 6th of July. So finally I was relieved that I got some kind of confirmation from them. I think I did not share with you all that I brought a new bike Yamaha FZ-16 red and black colour. I will tell you about the first long ride I had on the bike with my sis.. There is stretch of road in Navi Mumbai called as the Palm Beach Road, it’s a real pleasure driving in those roads as they really very wide, there is greenery one side and buildings on the other side, less traffic. Actually the greenery is the mangroves which cover one side of the road and after the mangroves is the sea. So the breeze is quite nice while u ride on that road especially on a two wheeler. Driving a bike on these kinds of road gives such pleasure, like the feel of the wind ruffling through your hair, the adrenaline rush you get when we increase the throttle the bike just goes ...

It’s been two months since I have written anything. So I will bring you up to date with whats going in my life. Actually I did not get the required motivation to write, what with the last months of my college life I was busy with the final thesis work then the exams and of course the farewell parties.if I had worked on thesis from the start could have finished without many hiccups but what to do as like before I started just some time earlier than the deadline(Even then I was one of the few persons to start early). Then I had my vacations but went to my native place Kerala and again I did not have the inclination to write. After I came home I thought I would start writing but then the appointment letter from the company was taking too long to come. Its been two months since i posted anything...Well life's been busy of late. I had my campus placements going on.. Then there was the exams and i went to chennai,rameshwaram and madurai then back to college....As its the last sem i and my friends went to Matheran which is a hill station near Mumbai..Had gr8 fun there, clicked many pics(you can chk in orkut)..Only thing missing was the cold weather...It was not cold,maybe due to global warming...So did not get time to devote for writing. Finally the mayhem at Mumbai ends after a fight which lasted for about an 62 hours... As the pictures of the carnage carried out by the terrorist came on the TV i have been caught in a range of emotions from anger to sadness to a feeling of Helpness. About a 200 people killed and around 400 injured the destruction to one of Iconic bldgs in Mumbai..."The Taj Mahal Heritage Hotel" Did you know that the Taj was built before the Gate of India? Its one of most famous landmarks in Mumbai. I just wish that we bring back the Taj to its earlier granduer as soon as possible. But it was nice to see the ppl of Mumbai demanding action, not like the earlier times when we just used to say about the ''Spirit of Mumbai'' and get back to our life. people have realised that Enough is Enough as said by Shoba de. We really need the change of leadership people who can lead us from the front..who are selfless in their thoughts... Even we voter's have to take more responsibilit...

Just when we thought that Mumbai is out of the attack of terrorists, here comes an attack at Mumbai the financial hub of the country..This attack has come as a shocker because of the apparent ease with which the terrorists brought Ak-47's grenades etc..from where they get the funds the arms and ammunition etc. This again show the glaring ineptitude of the intellegence agencies in forseeing the plans of an attack. Why isn't even a major attack pre-empted and stopped before it can actually happen? I can understand that its difficult to avert such attacks... but still having to face them again and again is such a terrible thing...there is the huge lose of life...property, peace, people panic there is suspicsion against a particular community...there is a loss of trust ...Inspite of this after somedays we again forget these things and come to our old self...The security will be tight for a few days then it will be lax again...
